The Kingdom Of Heaven

“Change your thinking (repent) for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!”

This was the greatest news mankind heard since the fall of Adam!

Adam lost the rulership and dominion of the earth. In fact, he lost the Kingdom given to him by God, to a deceiver through rebellion. Since then mankind has been a slave to sin and the kingdom of darkness until Jesus appeared on earth. Jesus, our Lord and King, came to earth to restore rulership and dominion back to man.

I would like to highlight three keys to help you understand and experience the Kingdom of God.

Firstly: Repent “Metanoeo” - to think after, or to change our minds or thinking, to turn and change direction.

Think - KING                                     &                                 KINGDOM

Think - He King…                                                                  me subject to

He Chief…                                                                me Indian

He speaks…                                                              I obey and follow

Secondly: We need to understand that Jesus, the King, is the door into the Kingdom.

“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved…” John 10:9.

This door has the following written over it - KING OF KINGS; LORD OF LORDS. This hits at the core of man’s problem since Adam, namely rebellion: “I do it my way.”. You have to give up all in order to gain all. “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.” Matthew 10:39. There are no rebels in the Kingdom of Heaven. The last rebel was Lucifer and he is destined for hell.

Lastly: We need to seek the Kingdom.

“Baquash” - to seek, to diligently look for, to search earnestly until the object of search is located. The Jewish nation has been seeking and waiting for the One that will rule, since King David.  Jeremiah 23:5,6. When we have sought and found the Kingdom we will give up all for it. …”who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.” Matthew 13:46. Life does, and will only make sense when, in our hearts (inner man) we submit fully to the King and enjoy His Kingdom living.

I want to encourage us all: Take time to read the Words of Jesus (red letters) and then we will understand why He told us to pray the following prayer:

“Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is done in Heaven.”

Johan.
