A quick check-in - May 2009
Hallo to all our friends family and faithful supporters...

Though I aim to send you all a more detailed update soon, we just wanted you all to know that after many months and days on the road we are finally back home in Mozambique....
It is a strange feeling this time having been away so long.  Like being detatched, yet slowly realizing that you have been missing something deep inside and are suddenly warming up to the fact that you are finding it, coming back...you are HOME!!!

After 6 days on the road we drove down the windy road to the lake ....tired, desperate to get out of the car and already feeling butterflies a the thought of getting home. When we drove to the last bridge which had to be traversed on foot so we could fetch planks to drive over... that aforementioned feeling set in..

Our grass patch has doubled in size and it is just green grass, white sand and blue water wherever you look. There was a stranger sleeping on a piece of paradise and there towards the end Alberto, the old man who works for us , was raking leaves; faithfully keeping our beach clean and our home ready incase we were to arrive.  We walked right up behind him and greeted him...and then I had a first....He beamed, he laughed, he made sounds of joy and he rushed up and embraced each one of us....even a little bewildered Keith...man hugs not being the norm and all !! I have never been hugged by a Mozambican and it was an indescribable feeling.  The beginning of that being home feeling !!!

And so we unpacked the car and returned today to Lichinga to import the necessary things before we head home tomorrow for hopefully a while.

To all whose paths we crossed during our journey of the past few months....thank you.  You all played a part in uplifting our spirits, encouraging us and reminding us why we do what we do. Like I said, we will send a more detailed report, update and thank you note soon, but I wanted you all to know, that we are back where we belong thanks to many of you. That we are strengthened thanks to many of you. That we have been spoilt by many of you....and that we love and appreciate you all.  Thank you for praying us safely home..

God be with you till we meet again

Yours in Him
Keith, Bron and Zoe Eden
